Oct. 13th, 2015, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Algirdas Monkevičius signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indonesia's Bogor Agricultural University (BAU) Rector Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto.
The agreement will facilitate exchanges of students and academics between the two universities.
MRU Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Prof. Dr. Inga Zalėnienė participated in the ceremony along with BAU Cooperation and International Programmes Dept. Director Dr. Edy Hartulistiyoso, Indonesian Ambassador H.E. Bomer Pasaribu, and Indonesia's Honorary Consul in Lithuania Prof. Dr. Julius Novickas.
The guests from Indonesia became more closely acquainted with the University. They visited the new MRU LAB building where there was discussion about further cooperation and research.
The two universities plan to cooperate in the areas of economics, management and communication as well as conducting joint research.
This is the third Indonesian University that MRU has forged ties with. In 2007 an agreement was signed with the University of Indonesia (UI). In 2013 MRU began cooperation with Petra Christian University.
