Feb. 26th-27th, 2015, the international conference, "Paradigmatic Changes in the Thinking of Society: Lithuania and European Area," was held on campus.

Notable researchers from Europe and the U.S. participated including philosophers from Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine and the U.S.

The Research & Organizing Committee included: MRU Prof. Jūratė Morkūnienė, MRU Prof. Bronislovas Kuzmickas, Prof. Algis Mickūnas, MRU Prof. Romualdas Grigas, MRU Assoc. Prof. Povilas Aleksandravičius, MRU Prof. Marija Vabalaitė and MRU Lecturer dr. Lilijana Astra. Committee Chairman was Assoc. Prof. dr. Virginija Jakimenko.

The event was funded by the European Social Fund under the Global Grant measure.

The conference is an event part of the project,  "Paradigmatic Changes in Contemporary Lithuanian Societal Thinking and the European Area,” implemented by Mykolas Romeris University.
