Conference Marked 25th Anniversary of Constitutional Court Oct. 26th

Oct. 26th, 2018, Lithuania's legal elite attended the conference, "The 25th Anniversary of Lithuania's Constitutional Court: Experience and New Challenges," marking Constitution Day and the 25th Anniversary of Lithuania's Constitution Court.
The conference was held at the Seimas parliament building in Vilnius.
MRU School of Law Dean Prof. Lyra Jakulevičienė gave the Welcome Address.
Lithuania's Constitutional Court President Prof. Dainius Žalimas participated and discussed "Focal Points of the 25th Anniversary of the Constitutional Court."
MRU Constitutional scholar Prof. Vytautas Žilys, Lithuania's Prosecutor General Evaldas Pašilis, former Justice of the Court of Justice of the European Union Prof. Egidijus Jarašiūnas, Constitutional scholar and MRU Prof. Vytautas Sinkevičius, MRU School of Law Prof. Toma Birmontienė and other legal scholars and professors attended.
There were academics and scholars from Germany, Sakartvelo, Moldova, and Ukraine who also attended the conference.
Mykolas Romeris University's School of Law's Institute of Public Law along with Lithuania's Constitutional Court, the Bar Association and the Seimas Committee on Legal Affairs organized the conference to mark Constitution Day, which is celebrated Oct. 25th in Lithuania.
