May 27th, 2019, a delegation from China's Communication University (CUC) led by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. LI Xinjun visited Mykolas Romeris University and met with Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė. International Office Head Audra Dargytė-Burokienė also participated along with Humanities Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liudmila Mockienė, MRU School of Law Vice-Dean Dovilė Gailiūtė-Janušonė and King Sejong Institute Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lora Tamošiūnienė.

The Chinese delegation included: Political Science and Law School Dean Prof. LI Huailiang, Communication Institute Dean Prof. LI Shu, Academic Affairs Dept. Head Prof. PANG Liang, International Studies School Dean Prof. Li Zuowen and Russian language teacher Dr. XU Hongzheng.

MRU Public Governance Faculty Dean Prof. Vainius Smalskys, Communication Institute Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gintarė Žemaitaitienė, Educational Science and Social Work Institute Assc.Prof. Gražina Čiuladienė, Political Sciences Institute Lecturer Irmantas Pečiūra and China's Embassy in Lithuania Counsellor Baihua QU.

During the meeting there was discussion about student and staff mobility strengthening between CUC and MRU and possibilities of a double degree diploma as well as particiation in various academic projects and summer schools.

Also, establishment of the Confucius Institute at MRU was discussed.
