At Calligraphy Exhibit Opening, Korean Dancers Showcased Beauty in Motion

Sept. 7th, 2018, traditional Korean dancers from Cheongju, Korea, performed at the opening of a calligraphy dance exhibit at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). They showcased beauty in motion. Dancers' flowing movement and perfect steps provided those gathered with a spectacular performance consisting of a series of dances.

Korea's Ambassador to Lithuania Sung-joo Choi, residing in Warsaw, attended the exhibition opening and addressed participants.

MRU Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius addressed those gathered including 28 calligraphers from Korea that were on hand at the opening.

Urtė Butkutė, a King Sejong Institute student studying Korean language,was the event's Master of Ceremonies. She introduced performers in both Korean and English language.

Traditional Korean dancers, including the 36-year-old Kim Min Woo, traveled from Cheongju, Korea to perform at the event.

The Calligraphy Exhibit featured the work of 28 Korean calligraphers, most of whom were at the opening ceremony.

Lithuanian performers Fausta Savickaitė, Augustina Vizbaraitė and Aleksandras Vizbaras (on piano) performed during the opening as well.
