Summary: The concept of organisational resilience is becoming an important subject of study due to the unusually fast-changing economic, social and technological environment. The need to survive is important for today’s organisations, and there is a growing awareness of organisational resilience, which enables organisations not only to survive a period of crisis, but also to harness the lessons learnt from it as a driving force. The project raises the scientific problem of what theoretical approaches and methodological tools can be used to assess organisational resilience. The aim of the project is to develop a model for assessing organisational resilience and to apply it empirically in a study of Lithuanian organisations. The objective is to develop a concept and methodology for assessing organisational resilience and to conduct a study in Lithuanian companies. Three activities are designed to address the task: theoretical justification of organisational resilience; presentation of a methodology for assessing organisational resilience; and assessment of organisational resilience in the case of Lithuanian organisations.
Result to be achieved: The review and systematisation of the latest scientific literature and the development of a methodology for assessing organisational resilience will enable the conduct of a study, the results of which will be not only unique, but also important for the development of economic science as it will add to the understanding of organisational resilience and its determinants and impact.
The project is funded by the European Social Fund under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 “Development of scientific competence of scientists, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” activity “Promotion of post-doctoral internships”. Grant agreement with the Lithuanian Research Council (LMT).
