World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated every year on the 26th of April.
This day is a reminder of the importance of intellectual property, the need to protect it, and how important it is that we all know how to use intellectual property without violating the legitimate interests of others.
“Women and IP: Accelerating innovation and creativity” is the theme for this year. We celebrate the “can do” attitude of women inventors, creators and entrepreneurs around the world and their ground-breaking work. Women in all regions are shaping the world through their imagination, ingenuity and hard work, but often face significant challenges in accessing the knowledge, skills, resources and support they need to thrive.
In celebration of this day, we welcome you to visit the Library's newest exhibit.
