Let’s remember those, who were brave
MRU Library
On January 13, 1991, the Soviets tried to overthrow the Lithuanian government by military force. Lithuanians were peacefully, shoulder to shoulder, protecting government and the TV tower. Fourteen people died while defending freedom and almost a thousand were injured.
In the corridor of the Library, you will find a small exhibition of books dedicated to Lithuanian singing revolution. Please, feel free to take books from the display shelf.
Let the struggle of these days inspire us to support the Ukrainian nation today. We wish Ukrainians the endurance and faith that the victory will be achieved.
