Korean Holiday Chuseok Celebration – Sept. 9th

September 9th, 2022, in MRU's Rotunda Hall beginning at 17:00 hrs., the King Sejong Institute Vilnius (KSI) invites to celebrate one of the most important Korean holidays - CHUSEOK (추석). Chuseok is a harvest and thanksgiving festival to honor ancestors, meet family members, play folk games, and enjoy traditional dishes. This festival can also be called hangawi (한가위).
You will have the possibility to play traditional Korean games together.
Event activities:
- Making traditional Korean plates from hanji paper
- Try on Hanbok! Hanbok is a traditional Korean garment that you can see and try on during the event.
- Jegichagi game. It is a traditional game in which players kick a paper jegichagi into the air.
- The tuho game. It is a game of throwing arrows into a pot or a wooden cylinder.
- Gongi game. It is a game of throwing and catching small pebbles by hand.
- Catch things with chopsticks!
