Summary: The aim of the study is to assess the company law digitalisation mechanisms in EU law, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Ukraine and to propose recommendations for their improvement. The study will be carried out using online and physical resources from universities, online registers of legal entities in selected jurisdictions and relevant EU online resources. The research will require familiarisation with national company law, case law in the selected countries and templates for company formation documents. The research methods to be used will be: comparative, systematic, historical analysis and synthesis. In addition, a survey will be carried out in the Lithuanian business sector using Google Forms. Respondents will be asked whether they use electronic tools in their business activities, if so in which procedures, whether they are satisfied with the way electronic tools are used in their business activities and what suggestions they have for the improvement of the regulation of online procedures in company law. The e-mail addresses of the respondents will be obtained from publicly available information on the Internet, as well as through the business associations contacted. On the basis of the study on the implementation of the Directive, criteria will be developed and the most important jurisdictions will be ranked (with each highlighted criterion being assigned 0 or 1).

Outcome: The project will produce the following outputs: 3 articles submitted to peer-reviewed law journals indexed in Web of Science and/or Scopus, 3 scientific presentations at international conferences. The published results will provide recommendations on legislation and practice, suggestions for further research in the field under study and will be used as reference material for students in relevant educational courses.
