The aim of the project: To develop a model for assessing the links between corruption and the shadow economy and its performance in the context of Southern European countries.
Project objectives:
- To analyse the theoretical aspects of the links between corruption and the shadow economy.
- To identify the methodologies, strengths and limitations of the methodologies for assessing the interrelationship between corruption and the informal economy.
- To develop a model for assessing the interrelationships between the levels of corruption and the informal economy.
- To develop a methodology for assessing the interlinkages between levels of corruption and the informal economy in Southern European countries.
- To empirically assess the correlation between levels of corruption and the shadow economy in Southern European countries.
