Summary: The aim of the project is to promote the training of highly qualified specialists (PhDs) in Lithuanian research and study institutions by competitively funding doctoral studies on topics of relevance to the development of scientific or artistic research in the Lithuanian economy.

Result to be achieved: The young scientists trained by the project should be able to solve topical scientific problems, carry out research independently, successfully integrate into the national and international scientific environment, and develop the skills and abilities needed for the labour market, enabling them to work in interdisciplinary, inter-institutional and international research teams.

The project is funded under the EU Funds Investment Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority 9 “Public Education and Enhancement of Human Resource Potential”, under the implementing measure “Strengthening the Capacities of Scientists and Other Researchers”.
