Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is extending its fundraising campaign to support Ukrainian children affected by the horrors of war. There is not much left to reach the set goal of 50,000 euros, and your support can change the lives of these children.

The first initiative of “Lawyers4Ukraine” focuses on providing aid to children who have suffered severe burns and injuries from Russia's attacks on civilians, particularly the bombing of residential buildings. Urgent help is currently needed for 11-year-old Veronika and her 4-year-old brother Oliaksandr from Chernihiv. The children have suffered severe burns and other injuries. They have already arranged to receive immediate treatment and rehabilitation in Lithuania, but this requires our collective support.

“Today, we are all helping Ukraine in our own way. The idea of uniting the legal community for a common cause came about because together we can always achieve more. It is important to remind legal communities in other countries that Ukraine still needs and will continue to need support in vital areas, whether humanitarian, legal, infrastructural, or others,” says the initiative's organizer, Dean of the MRU Law School Lyra Jakulevičienė.

The “Lawyers for Ukraine” campaign has united the Lithuanian legal community, not only to provide legal assistance to war refugees but also to support children in urgent need of medical treatment.
