On 21 November 2024, prof. dr. Violeta Vasiliauskienė of the Academy of Public Security participated in the conference "Managing the Terrorism Threat: Effectiveness, Cooperation and Preparedness of Police and Intervention Units", organised by the Latvian Police and State Police College of Latvia.

She presented a presentation on "EU Strategies on Countering Terrorism", where she discussed about EU definition of the terrorism and 2020-2025 EU Counter-Terrorism Agenda. 

The conference was held in the implementation of the European Union Internal Security Fund Project No. VP/IDF/2024/5 "Strengthening the Mobility Response and Counter-Terrorism Capacity of the State Police through the Establishment of a Practical Training Centre".
