On October 18, 2024, the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences (FTMC) is organizing a Fall Cross for employees of academic institutions.

The event, which is becoming a fun tradition, started last autumn as a gathering of the FTMC community, and in the winter it was attended by representatives of Vilnius University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH); moreover, representatives from Mykolas Romeris University and the Faculty of Economics-Informatics in Vilnius, a branch of the University of Bialystok, joined for the first time for the FTMC Spring Cross.

This autumn, even more participants are expected, and employees from all Lithuanian universities and research centers are invited to join. It is a great opportunity to meet colleagues, socialize, and enjoy an active day in a beautiful setting.

Event location: Kairėnų g. 43, VU Botanical Garden, entrance via the Japanese Garden gate. Map link.

Program:

• Gathering: October 18, 11:30 a.m. at the starting point (number distribution, warm-up session, changing facilities).
• Start: 12:00 p.m.

The run will take place along the scenic VU Botanical Garden trail, with most of the route paved. After the run, participants will be treated to hot buckwheat porridge with or without pork cracklings and tea.

Distances:

• 2 km - just a jog, can be bypassed (1 lap, blue numbers);
• 6 km - for sports (3 laps, red numbers);
• 10 km - endurance test (5 laps, black numbers).

Important Information:

• Pets are not allowed in the VU Botanical Garden.
• Participants are responsible for their own safety and assume responsibility for any incidents that may occur during the run.
