Feb. 23rd, 2023, the Senate of  Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) met for a meeting and approved a number of items pertaining to the University studies programmes, internal studies quality management regulations as well as awarding the title of honorary member of MRU to the Head of the Document Management Office Regina Lukauskaitė.

The MRU Senate considered a whole host of issues during the meeting.

The Senate discussed granting the title of honorary member of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), considered approving regulations for the awarding of hononary badges by the Senate of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) and took up the issue of approving the Badge of Honour Commission of the MRU Senate.

In addition, matters relating to studies programmes were considered including: the revised first-cycle full-time study programmes of the Faculty of Human and Social Studies Translation and Editing (for those enrolled from the 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years); the English for Specific Purposes and the Second Foreign Language and specialization, English for Specific Purposes and Korean Language (for those enrolled from the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years); second cycle part-time studies programme, Educational Technologies Management and the full-time studies programme Public Relations Management (in English) studies‘ plan approval (for those enrolled from 2023-2024 academic year).

Regarding the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, Economics field, relating to the first-cycle studies programme, “Digital Economy“, a name change was discussed; regarding the Faculty of Public Governance and Business' political science first cycle studies programme, Public Policy and Management specialization, Public Policy and Communication name change was discussed; regarding the planned implementation of the Public Governance and Business Faculty‘s Public Administration field second cycle studies programme, Public Administration, specialization Data Analytics for Public Governance the approval of description and study plans for those enrolled from the 2023-2024 academic year was considered; regarding the approval of the Public Governance and Business Faculty‘s Administration second cycle full-time studies programme Project Management implementation in English.

Discussions also centered on the approval of the study and research quality policy and internal quality assurance system provisions of Mykolas Romeris University, and the approval of the Mykolas Romeris University studies and research quality policy and internal quality assurance system regulations. There was consideration of approval of Mykolas Romeris University‘s internal studies quality management regulations. Also, discussions about the allocation of Mykolas Romeris University‘s research activity promotion fund 2023 annual activity and funds, according to the financed-activities plan, and the Mykolas Romeris University Promotion Fund 2022 activity report approval. There was a presentation of a draft project relating to Mykolas Romeris University‘s personnel management policy.

The Senate members decided to approve a number of items on the agenda.

The Senate decided to grant the title of honorary member of Mykolas Romeris University to Document Management Office Head Regina Lukauskaitė, who retired in Feb. 2023. Senate members decided to approve the regulations for the awarding of honrorary badges by the Mykolas Romeris University Senate. In addition, establishment of the Badge of Honour Commission of the Senate of Mykolas Romeris University was approved.

Senate members gave their approval to the revised first-cycle full time study programmes of the Faculty of Human and Social Studies including the Translation and Editing programme (for those enrolled from the 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years), the English for Specific Purposes and the Second Foreign Language and specialization, English for Specific Purposes and the Korean Language programme (for those enrolled from the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years).

Members decided to approve the studies‘ plans for the second cycle part-time studies programme, „“Management of Educational Technologies“ and full-time studies programme, Public Relations Management (in English) for those enrolled from the 2023-2024 academic year.

The Senate gave their approval to change the name of the Public Governance and Business Faculty‘s field of Economics first cycle studies‘ programme, „Digital Economy“ and to change the name of the same Faculty‘s political science field first cycle studies programme, „Public Policy and Management“ specialization, Public Policy and Communication.  Approval was given for the description and studies‘ plan of the Public Governance and Business Faculty‘s planned implementation of the public administration second cycle studies programme, Public Administration specialization, Data Analytics for Public Governance for those enrolled from the 2023-2024 academic year. In addition, Senate members approved the Public Governance and Business Faculty‘s administration field second cycle full-time studies programme, “Project Management“ implementation in English.

Senate members approved Mykolas Romeris University‘s studies and research quality policy and internal quality assurance system provisions. The MRU internal studies quality management regulations were approved. It was decided to approve a proposal regarding Mykolas Romeris University‘s research activity promotion fund 2023 annual activities and fund allocation, according to the financed-activities plan and approval of MRU‘s Promotion Fund 2022 Activity Report. In addition, it was decided to approve the MRU Personnel management policy project presentation that will be presented to the MRU Council.
