MRU academic and administrative staff have full possibilities to participate in Erasmus+ mobility for teaching and/or training visits. MRU implements Erasmus+KA103 (mobility between Programme Countries) and KA107 (mobility between Programme and Partner countries) mobility projects.
Teaching visits are possible only to Universities with which the relevant Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional agreements are signed for STA visits (in the specific subject area). Check at https://www.mruni.eu/en/university/internationalization/partnerships/ .
Training visits can take place in any HEI or other organization, active in labour market or education.
Duration of the Erasmus+ KA103 staff visit for teaching or training to Programme countries (EU, Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Turkey, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia) can be between 2 to 6 days (including travel). Minimum days of activities – 2 days. For teaching visits – at least 8 hours of teaching (for duration of 2-5 days of activities). It is possible to go for teaching/training visits without financial support – such visit will be recorded as 0-grant KA103 mobility.
Duration of Erasmus+ KA107 staff visit for teaching or training to Partner country (f.e. Ukraine, Kosovo, Indonesia, Georgia, etc.) can be between 5 to 7 days (including travel). Minimum days of activities – 5 days. For teaching visits – at least 8 hours of teaching (for duration of 5 days of activities). It is possible to go for teaching/training visits without financial support – such visit will be recorded as 0-grant KA107 mobility.
Longer duration visits can take place only with 0-grant (t.i. without financial support).

Staff members, selected by the academic or administrative units to undertake Erasmus+ teaching or training visit and to receive a mobility grant, must send to International Office by e-mail io@mruni.eu a Request and confirmed teaching/work programme (Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching/training Mobility agreement) at least 14 calendar days prior to the beginning of mobility. (Staff member independently communicates with the receiving institution and accords the teaching/work programme (topics of teaching, schedule, other activities)).
Practical details of the visit (travel arrangements, accommodation, visa, travel insurance ) are a responsibility of the staff member who participates in mobility. After the rector’s decree for official business trip (komandiruotė) is signed, staff member receives a grant agreement for signing and after its signing by both parties, the grant is paid in accordance with grant agreement provisions.
After the return from teaching/training visit, Staff member within 3 working days must report to Accountancy office (boarding passes must be provided) and to International Office (signed and sealed duration certificate, confirming undertaken activities from the host institution must be provided), also must complete and submit the online EU-Survey.

Business trip – departure of University staff member for a certain period from the permanent working place to another place by the order of the employer to undertake work-related functions or carry out assignments related to research or professional activity.
Internship abroad – departure of University staff member to outside of the territory of Lithuania for a certain period of time by the order of rector or authorized person for the purpose of improvement of research or professional qualification, to carry out research and (or) pedagogical work and (or) carry out other research, education or employees function related activity, corresponding to the professional qualification of the University employee.
Staff member can be sent to business trip or internship (or permission to leave can be granted) for no longer than 30 calendar days (including travel). it may be longer ONLY if all business trip/internship expenses/costs are financed by EU or nationally/internationally funded project.
During vacations staff member can not be sent/ allowed to leave for business trip/internship without recalling him/her from the vacations.
Request to send to business trip/internship within Lithuania must be submitted to Personnell office (via MRU document management system edvs and you may inquire about by email: pta@mruni.eu) at least 5 working days prior to beginning of the business trip/internship. In case of business trip/internship to abroad, the request must be send to International Office, (io@mruni.eu) which registers the request at least 10 working days prior to beginning of the business trip/internship to abroad.
Request must be co-signed by the direct supervisor (project leader, director of institute) and head of relevant academic/administrative unit (Dean, head of laboratory) and, if relevant, coordinated with head of other University divisions, where staff member is also employed .
