Internationalization
International Office of Mykolas Romeris University works in order to make the University more international and competitive in the area of higher education in Lithuania, Europe and all around the world. It coordinates international cooperation and partnerships among the University and foreign higher education institutions, international organisations, networks, diplomatic missions, Lithuanian communities abroad, University’s participation in international academic exchange programmes (such as Erasmus+ mobility, Lithuanian short-term studies, other programmes initiated by foreign governments or bilateral university agreements). It coordinates exchange programmes, advises arriving students and staff on non-academic support, temporary residence in Lithuania (migration), integration into the University’s academic community. International office informs University students and staff about studies, grants and placements abroad, and provides the University’s departments with methodical, administrative and informational assistance.
International Office consists of: the International Student Mobility Unit (focuses on student exchange programmes and only non-degree mobility topics) and the International Partnerships Unit (focuses on staff mobility, partnerships and international degree-seeking students support topics).

Mykolas Romeris University was awarded by the European Commission with Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027, which allows the University to participate in all actions of new period of Erasmus+ programme.
The Erasmus Policy Statement – EPS of the University describes the internationalization strategy of the University in relation to participation in all actions of the Erasmus+ programme and beyond.

Mykolas Romeris University has been awarded 47 grants for the supplementary practice for international degree-seeking students and recent graduates in UPinLT project. The goal of the UPinLT project is to provide support to foreign degree-seeking students and graduates of Lithuanian higher education institutions to successfully integrate them into the Lithuanian labour market. The grants are for additional practice (outside the study program) in companies and organizations operating in Lithuania. The practice must be related to the study field and international Degree-seeking students will have an additional opportunity to develop their professional knowledge and skills, acquire Lithuanian language skills and gain valuable work experience as well as to establish professional contacts. To be eligible for the program, the candidates must be: Mykolas Romeris University students studying in the first or second cycle of studies or integral studies (with the exception of first-year students) or Mykolas Romeris University recent graduates. The duration of the practice is 2-4 months with the commitment of 20 hours per week for students and 30 hours per week for graduates. This is paid practice and the grant paid by the university to student/graduate is 650 Eur per month.
