TV: MRU Students Starred in “Ghetto” Drama – Sept. 23rd

Sept. 23rd, 2018, Lithuania's TV Kultūra channel, broadcast the film adaptation of Joshua Sobol's play, "Ghetto" directed by MRU Theatre/Film Director Julius Dautartas. The 2015 film stars MRU students, who are not professional actors. It aired on Sept. 23rd - Remembrance Day of Jewish victims of Genocide. The play, by Israeli playwright Joshua Sobol, details the experiences of the Jews of the Vilna Ghetto during the Nazi occupation of World War II and has been adapted for the screen due to the efforts of theatre director Dautartas. The film was written and directed by MRU Theatre Director Dautartas, with operators- Valentinas Ryčkovas, Egidijus Lenčickas, and composer Gintaras Sodeika.
