Professors Helping Prepare National Cyber Security Strategy
Feb. 3rd, 2017, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Prof. Darius Štitilis and a team of academics took part in a discussion at the Ministry of National Defence on National Cyber Security. The academics, including MRU Lecturer Dr. Marius Laurinaitis, Assoc. Prof. Paulius Pakutinskas and Inga Malinauskaitė - van de Castel, presented the results of their research project, "EU and NATO Countries Cyber Security Strategy Norm Analysis and Adaptation for Lithuania's Situation - Lithuania's Cyber Security Strategy Model." The project is financed by Lithuania's Research Council. MRU academics presented recommendations regarding creation of a National Cyber Security Strategy model. Defence Ministry officials and Cyber Security Council members took part in the discussion. Ministry officials plan to form a Working Group to prepare a National Cyber Security Strategy Project. It is planned that some of the MRU Project research results will be used in creating the model. According to MRU Prof. Štitilis, the Project will continue until March 2017.
