Tax Workshop: “VAT Fraud Prevention as EU’s Financial Support Measure” – August 4th-5th
August 4-5th, 2016, auditors, tax administrators, Finance Ministry representatives are invited to attend the 2-day Anti-Fraud Training event, "VAT Fraud Prevention as EU's Financial Stability Support Measure, to be held in Vilnius at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). The training workshop will provide a forum for sharing experiences between various EU countries. Public and private sector auditors, tax administrations will learn from the best practices of the EU countries and latest scientific research. They will look for possible areas for cooperation, learn how to evaluate risk of VAT fraud and more. Organisers will cover airline ticket and hotel expenses for those participating in the 2-day workshop. MRU's Economics and Finance Management Faculty is organising the Training event which is implemented with funds of the EU project, International Anti-Fraud Training of VAT Fraud Prevention as EU‘s Financial Stability Support Measure", PROJECT No. OLAF/2016/D1/017. All auditors and tax administrators from private companies, representatives of finance ministries of EU countries and their subordinate institutions are invited to attend as well as persons delegated to be responsible for tax administration. Implementation of measures identified in this programme will contribute to the reduction of VAT fraud in the EU. It will thus contribute to the improvement of the financial stability in the EU. In order to reach this aim and establish the training and working group objectives for work in groups, we invite only top-level scholars and practitioners who analyse VAT fraud.
