Jan. 29th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) students graduating at the top of their class said they want to enter the Bar or to become lawyers.

Completing studies with almost perfect 10 scores were 4 graduates of the Law Bachelor's Degree programme: Dovilė Apanavičiūtė, Simona Bareikytė, Simona Šlerpaitė and Jaroslav Simarev.

Apanavičiūtė and Bareikytė said they plan to begin Master's Degree studies at MRU in the fall.

MRU Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius awarded the graduates with special Certificates of Appreciation for their excellent grades and extracurricular activities.

Bareikytė, who already works as a legal assistant at the Valunas Ellex Law firm, said she has seen both sides of the process and finds herself more and more thinking about becoming a judge.

"The Bar is a good start in the legal profession," she said, but added that she still finds herself searching for her true calling. Her thoughts keep turning to the court system and becoming a judge.

If not for a 9 in the European Union course, she said she would have graduated with a perfect 10 score.

Fellow graduate, Apanavičiūtė is also a legal assistant at a law firm in Vilnius.

She said that so far she enjoys her work and plans to pursue Master's studies at MRU.
