Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Institute of Management Prof. Vilma Čingienė is the Secretary General of the international sports organization, The European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE).

Prof. Čingienė, who sits on the Executive Board of the EOSE, has established and coordinates the Master's Dėgree programme, „Sports Industry Management“ at MRU.

EOSE is an international organization seeking development of the sports and leisure sector and in bridging gaps between the education and employment sectors to ensure development of a competent labour force with proper skills.

Having graduated from the Lithuanian Physical Education Institute with a Degree in Physical Education, she holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Economics) from Moscow's State Lomonosov University.

Prof. Čingienė is an initiator and co-ordinator of different national and European projects and serves as Qualification system implementation and management expert in various working groups.

Also she is a delegated member by national sports authorities to the EC expert group “Sport Statistics” (2011-2014) and „Economic Dimension of Sport“ (2014-2017)“.

Her areas of interest include: Sports Economics and Sports Development and Business.
