In December 2015, the "Lithuania in a Package" exhibit opened at Mykolas Romeris University's MRU LAB building (Didlaukio g. 55, Vilnius).
The mobile exhibition, displayed on 4 floors of the MRU LAB, presents UNESCO heritage sites in Lithuania such as the unique almost 100-km long, sandy Curonian Spit, and the Žuvintas protected reserve.
There are ten boxes (mail containers) that display the ten wonders of Lithuania's cultural heritage and nature parks or areas listed in UNESCO registers and lists.
One of the exhibits is the Curonian Spit exhibit, which presents the largest spit in the Baltic region, 98 km in length. It separates the Curonian Lagoon from the open Baltic Sea.
Another exhibit details the history of Lithuania's Song and Dance festivals. Since 1924, every 4 or 5 years, Lithuanians from all over the world gather in Lithuania to take part in the open air festival featuring folk singers and folk dancers from dozens of countries. Up to 40,00 dancers and singers participate in one such festival.
Lithuania is a country of singers. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, a new national renaissance took place, resulting in spontaneous singing in mass rallies throughout the country. Thereby the movement for independence was called, the Singing Revolution.
All invited to come see this unique exhibit.
