Condolences on Loss of Dongseo Educ Foundation Founder Dr. Chang

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Algirdas Monkevičius has extended condolences on behalf of MRU and the Academic Community, following the loss of Dr. Sung Man Chang. He was the founder of Dongseo Educational Foundation (Dongseo University, Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, Busan Digital University).

He passed away on Dec. 6th, 2015.

Dr. Sung Man Chang was a man of great character. When He founded the Dongseo Educational Foundation in 1965, it was based on His deep Christian values and vision to foster talents to serve mankind and God through Christ Centered Education.

Through His dream, many young Koreans were able to pursue their education in a Christian-based environment, while developing as young professionals, who would shape South Korea's future.

Rector Monkevičius said that as a "sister university please take comfort as we extend our support to You during this period of mourning." He vowed that Dr. Sung Man Chang would never be forgotten at MRU.

"We will always cherish the opportunities we had working personally with Him throughout the years," Rector Monkevičius indicated in condolences to Dongseo University (DSU) President Prof. Jekuk Chang.

MRU and DSU are close partners and have implemented joint study programmes including the Informatics and Digital Contents Bachelor's Degree programme.
