Aug. 24th-28th, 2015, Introductory Welcome Week events were held for new Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) international exchange students.
Students began arriving on campus and registering at the Student House Dorm from Monday, Aug. 24th.
Tuesday, August 25th, students registered in the Lobby next to II-233 aud.
At 10:00 a.m. there was an official Welcome ceremony by the Vice-Rector, International Students Office staff, student mentors and members of the MRU Student Representative Body.
At 11:00 a.m., Coffee Break was scheduled.
From 12:00-13:00 hrs., there was a "Safe Vilnius" presentation by the local Vilnius Police Dept.
From 13:00 hrs., there was an info session on "Administrative Issues," Student ID's and more.
At 14:00 hrs., MRU Prof. Paulo Pereira presented an info session on "Academic Ethics and Academic Writing at Mykolas Romeris University."
At 14:30 hrs., Faculty Erasmus coordinators were introduced.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26th, 10:00-11:00 in I-201 aud., there was an introduction to MRU Library services and a meeting with Library representatives.
At 11:00 a.m., a guided tour of the MRU Library and University campus is planned.
In the afternoon, from 14:00 hours, there will be a guided tour of Vilnius' Old Town.
On Thursday, Aug. 27th, an excursion to the picturesque castle town of Trakai is planned.
Friday, Aug. 28th, is ESN MRU Vilnius Day.
From Aug. 29th-31st, a weekend trip to the spa town of Druskininkai will be held, but students must pay for accomodation themselves.
Friday, Sept. 4th, the international MRU Students Dinner will be held.
